on lomo film : sunsets and skies

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

These were the times I was again blessed with a beautiful sky. I had no digital device to save me that day. All I had was my Vivitar UW&S and my AV-1. Vivitar had colored slides. It was my not-so lucky but lucky nevertheless day.

This was ben overlooking the sunset horizon. I was more keen [...]

The permission to shoot.

Monday, February 25th, 2008

This is a post, for everyone who got the Miss/Sir, bawal mag-shoot dito (Miss/Sir, you can’t shoot here) statement. I have seen countless posts on irritated and disgruntled photographers when all they wanted is to shoot a picture but because of their intimidating cameras the cautious guards permit them to do otherwise.

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Remember my guada-shaw skyline pics from the digital camera? film really made it look so different and yet, it’s still the same subject. The little vignettes at the side looks really nifty. Ah, well. :)

due to my extreme hurry and panic (the ebay bid was ending, the jlpt results came out + this…) I ripped out the package, wondering what the bulky item was and I saw the ektachrome 400 didn’t process well and it got about 7 shots out of the 36 worth. The day was spent [...]

canon av-1 + 50mm f/1.8 + centuria 200
I really don’t get the whole Miss, bawal ang camera dito (Miss, cameras are not allowed here) bit. Sometimes they do it, sometimes they don’t. The whole inconsistency of prohibition is both fascinating and yet sometimes amusing. I would ask security guards permission to take the most mundane [...]
