on film : coffee at starbucks powerplant

canon av-1 + (looks suspiciously like my 50mm prime) + dnp centuria 400

I love coffee. I’ve been drinking since I was 10. And maybe that’s why I’m this short. (5′1″). I remember drinking 3 cups from a dinner buffet in Grand Boulevard and I couldn’t sleep after. I was tossing and turning at 2am in the morning. Haha.

That was my first caffeine fix.

It was always with milk and brown sugar. Now it’s non-fat milk and splenda from the sudden calorie conscious me. Or just creamer and brown sugar.

There were times I drink it straight black. A barista taught me how to drink black coffee when he made me sample the Starbucks Gazebo blend. It was light and citrusy. It reminded me of black oranges, but as refreshing as water.

I started my daily trips to Starbucks when I was coping from a break-up. I spent 6thousand pesos (more or less around $150 US) on a particular month just to forget the pain, and focus on something else. Like my huge credit card bill. Lol. The Baristas knew me and they’d recommend me new drinks apart from their usual menu. Until I found my passion for caramel macciato and I order it non-fat, or sometimes a grande with extra whip and hazelnut syrup when I’m feeling disappointed or just plain short 1 equal/splenda drip when I’m feeling cheap and bitter.

so, yeah I guess that sunday, I was feeling cheap, or bitter. Or both. LOL

Stumble it!

  1. I inherited a Canon AE-1 many years ago, it had a couple of sweet primes with it, a 28mm and 50mm. I just love a fast prime, don’t you?? Looks like you’re enjoying it anyway. :) God, retail therapy is a bitch, isn’t it. Sorry to ramble on, must be too much coffee.lol

  2. hi edye, your lenses are the same as mine. Yep, prime lenses are the way to go. :)..
don’t worry…i’m glad someone visits here and listens to my random rambles :)

  3. A great set. I like the last one’s tilt

  4. Hi Elad thanks for dropping by, :D I’m still afraid of tilts when using my film slr since I still have some trust issues with the viewfinder. :) But yes, I’m glad how the angle turned out :D
