When I go into the waiting game (not for film…), I have a lot of time to kill in a span of 20-30 minutes. Most of the time, I would assess the area and gather out my “gear” (oh, my god did I actually call my eherm “toys” my gear? LOL) and see what I can do with my cameras today.

I sat with a mineral water bottle and a pack of menthol lights. The film I had for this take is probably still sitting on my office desk, I have nothing to show off but my digital works.

I was trying out macro mode in renault. I wish I can get that shallow of a DOF even without the Macro Mode…But since I get that on my film slr, I don’t really mind…much. :) It was one of the things I enjoyed when I carried around the d300 with the35mm f/2 prime for a day, the DOF was shallow and some of the bokehs were creamy. Too bad the whole set was deleted. (I was stunned for about 20 minutes upon hearing the news), I was planning on doing an entry with my day with the d300.

…Thinking about it makes me want to burn something again.

Anyway, here’s another try with the bottle cap unfocused and I was focused on the concrete..

When you have nothing to do, the most innocent things becomes a great deal of interest. I use the time to watch how the world works (well a portion of the Makati Business District anyway :P) during the rush our. Come 5:30 you see crowds rushing pass and the lines for public transportation get lengthy. The walkways were filling and the sitting area was a meeting place of friends on cigarette breaks or lovers in rendezvous.

There is actually a guy here watching from a portable DVD player. I sat a good distance away from all the hubbub.

In Filipino the term “pinatulan na ang lahat” greatly describes my current state which can be translated to “I took everything, even the kitchen sink”.

I recently found out about this park wedged between all the skyscrapers. Who’d thought that a place exist in the city jungle? Amazing :)

and as always my digital adventures wouldn’t be complete without my signature vanity shots. LOL! This was a sort of candid take from the self timer.

take two, waiting. I don’t know what time it was, but boy, was I having fun….and then he came. We talked for a bit and I lay on his lap and watched dusk fall.

How I wish I can always watch the world like this.
